George Athanassiou MSML has extensive experience in technology controls and risk management, currently serving as VP of Technology Controls at TD Securities USA LLC since June 2015. At this position, George manages the IT control processes and ensures compliance with securities industry regulatory requirements, successfully driving the resolution of complex regulatory issues. Prior to this role, George was the Global Third Party Risk Leader at GE Capital, where improvements were made to supplier risk management and information security practices. George also held various positions at Citi from 1999 to 2013, including Information Security Officer and Program Manager, focusing on compliance, operational risk, and product development for global information security initiatives. George holds an M.S. in Business Management and Leadership from the CUNY School of Professional Studies and a B.S. in Business Administration and Management from the same institution, complemented by an Associate's degree in Business Management/Finance from the City University of New York-College of Staten Island.
