Alan Polak

Alan Polak, CFA has a comprehensive work experience spanning over two decades. Alan currently holds the position of Managing Director & Head of Diversified Industries, Corporate & Investment Banking at TD Securities since June 2021. Prior to this, they served as Managing Director & Head, Canadian Financial Sponsors at TD Securities from September 2018 to June 2021. From October 2015 to September 2018, they held the role of Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at TD Securities. Before joining TD Securities, Alan worked at Canaccord Genuity Inc. as Managing Director & Head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking from May 2010 to August 2015. Prior to that, they served as Principal & Equity Partner in Investment Banking at Genuity Capital Markets from February 2005 to April 2010. Alan began their career at CIBC World Markets as a Director in Investment Banking from January 2000 to January 2005. Alan initially entered the industry as an Associate in Investment Banking at Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets from June 1997 to December 1999.

Alan Polak, CFA holds a PhD / DPhil in an undisclosed field from the University of Oxford, which they obtained from 1995 to 1997. Alan also possesses a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation awarded by the CFA Institute, earned between 1999 and 2001. Prior to these achievements, they completed a Master of Arts degree at the University of Toronto in 1995, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree at Western University in 1994.
