Michael Pelch

Michael Pelch serves as the Vice President of People & Operations at Teach For America, leading initiatives in recruitment and diversity, equity, and inclusion for a team of 150. With a background in both management and education, Michael has held various leadership roles within Teach For America, including Senior Managing Director of Learning & Development, where a comprehensive professional development program was redesigned for 160 staff members. Prior experience includes teaching English at Sacramento Charter High School and Bert Corona Charter Middle School, where significant improvements in student performance were achieved. Michael co-founded Building Excellent Teams Consulting Group to enhance team dynamics and performance and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Oberlin College and a Master of Education from Loyola Marymount University.
