Vignesh Krishnan

City Director, Hyderabad at Teach For India

Vignesh was part of the founding cohort of Teach For India Delhi, in 2011. Soon after the Fellowship, he worked on the staff team for several years, not only serving in various program leadership roles but also taking on increased responsibility with partnerships and operations. Vignesh led key innovations in Fellow retention and piloted various approaches to Secondary Instruction. He was also actively involved in contributing to various key systemic reforms initiated by the Government of Delhi. In addition, Vignesh, along with four other colleagues co-founded and revived a dysfunctional community school attached to a Madrasa (An Islamic institution of learning). Vignesh holds a Master’s in Education from the University College London. In 2018, he was one of the few individuals to receive the prestigious Chevening Scholarship from India. He joined the Hyderabad team as the City Director early this year. Vignesh brings with him, a deep commitment to Educational equity; a belief in the power of people development; and a nuanced understanding of Teach For India’s program and operations.
