Eric Berson, Ph.D.

Eric Berson, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and organizations. Eric is currently the Chief Growth Officer at TeachFX, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, Eric worked at Discovery Education as the VP of Customer Success from November 2020 to December 2022.

Before joining Discovery Education, Eric served as the VP of Customer Success at Mystery.org from October 2019 to October 2020, and as the Director of Customer Success from April 2015 to October 2019.

Eric also worked as a Product Manager at Citizen Code from September 2014 to July 2015.

Additionally, Eric has academic experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Graduate School of Education, Stanford University from January 2013 to November 2014, and as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Graduate School of Education, University of California, Berkeley from August 2007 to December 2012.

Eric's earlier work includes roles such as the Director of Program Management at The Grow Network/McGraw-Hill from 2004 to 2007, and as the Director of Customer Relations at eScholar from March 2003 to March 2004.

Prior to transitioning into the education field, Eric worked as a teacher at Paul Revere Elementary School, San Francisco Unified School District from August 2001 to June 2002, and at Highland Elementary School, Oakland Unified School District from August 1999 to July 2001.

Eric Berson, Ph.D. completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Brown University between 1995 and 1999. Eric then pursued their passion for teaching and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from the University of San Francisco from 2000 to 2002. Eric's educational journey culminated in a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, where they specialized in Cognitive Development in Mathematics & Science, earning their doctoral degree between 2007 and 2012.
