Chris Sweigard's work experience begins in 1998 as a System Operator at Virginia Blood Services. From 1999 to 2006, they worked as a Senior System Administrator at Circuit City, where they provided support for proprietary software and hardware at multiple locations. In 2006, they joined ReachEverywhere as a Developer and was involved in the development and testing of mobile phone ad delivery systems. At TxVia, from 2009 to 2009, they worked as a Model Developer and designed processing systems for the pre-paid card industry. From 2010 to 2011, they served as the Lead Integration Engineer at Medialets, where they coordinated with various teams to integrate iOS and Android apps with the rich media advertising SDK. Chris later joined Divide (formerly Enterproid) as the Release and Operations Manager, where they earned several awards and recognition for their BYOD solution. At inScoop, from 2015 to 2015, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer on a recommendation platform. Chris founded BeerXchange in 2013, a social marketplace for craft beer enthusiasts. Currently, they are the Lead Full Stack Engineer at Teachley, leading the development of a game-based learning analytics platform.

Chris Sweigard obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001. In addition to their degree, Chris has also received certifications in "Startup Engineering" and "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" from Coursera in September 2013 and May 2013, respectively.
