Adam Wentworth

Co-Founder at Teal Bio

Adam Wentworth has a wealth of experience in engineering and research. Adam began their career in 2008 as an NSF REU Fellow at the Institute of Material Science. In 2009, they became a Graduate Research Technician at the Center for Clean Energy Engineering, where they examined effects of membrane contaminants on fuel cell performance and characterized materials to identify hydration and thermal property changes. In 2011, they were a Laboratory Manager at the University of Connecticut. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Senior Research Engineer at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a Research Affiliate at the MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. During their time at the MIT Koch Institute, they worked on early stage R&D of novel ingestible, implantable, and transdermal drug delivery systems in animal models, utilizing CAD, 3D printing, and polymer processing techniques for small scale functional devices. In 2020, they co-founded Teal Bio, and in 2021 they became a Senior Engineer at Mayo Clinic.

Adam Wentworth holds a Master of Science (MS) in Material Science & Engineering from the University of Connecticut, which they obtained in 2011. Adam also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Material Science & Engineering from the University of Connecticut, which they obtained in 2009. Adam has also obtained various certifications, including GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S FDA) and Human Research - Human Subject Protection from the CITI Program (2022), Fundamentals of Manufacturing Processes from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology | edX (2020), Additive Manufacturing for Innovative Design and Production from MIT xPRO (2019), Solidworks Professional, Solidworks Educator and Solidworks Associate from Dassault Systèmes (2016, 2015, and 2015, respectively).
