Zainab Daodu

Zainab Daodu has diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Senior Technical Writer at Tealium since February 2022. Prior to their current role, they served as an Open Source Programs Manager at Zainab Code Africa from April 2020 to July 2023, where they focused on promoting women's involvement in the African open-source ecosystem.

Before that, Zainab worked as a Software Engineer at Interswitch Group from June 2019 to September 2021. Zainab also held a position as a Software Engineer Intern at the same company from October 2018 to May 2019. During their time at Interswitch Group, Zainab gained valuable experience in software engineering.

Zainab also contributed to the Jenkins project as a Technical Writer from August 2020 to December 2020. Their work focused on creating documentation related to Kubernetes Volume on Jenkins.io.

Furthermore, Zainab was an Outreachy Intern (Technical Writer) at Wikimedia Foundation from December 2019 to March 2020. This internship allowed their to develop their technical writing skills further.

In addition to their technical roles, Zainab worked as a Computer Science Teacher at Baptist High School from October 2015 to October 2016. Zainab also gained experience as a Computer Operator Intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from August 2014 to November 2014 and as a Computer Assistant Intern at the National Program for Food Security, Ministry of Agriculture from August 2013 to November 2013.

Zainab Daodu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Al-Hikmah University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Zainab then pursued a Master's degree in Project Management at Teesside University, from 2021 to 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Zainab holds several certifications. Zainab became a certified cdCon 2020, 2021, and 2022 Speaker through The Linux Foundation, obtaining these certifications in October 2020, July 2021, and June 2022 respectively. Zainab also achieved a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from GoLeanSixSigma.com in August 2019, and a Certified SAFe® 5 Practitioner certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in September 2021.
