Jewel Tungpalan

Jewel Tungpalan has a diverse background in software engineering and web development. Jewel is currently working at Tebra as a Software Engineer III since July 2023. Prior to this, they had a role as a Software Engineer at Tebra from June 2022 to July 2023. Before joining Tebra, Jewel worked at PatientPop, a Tebra Company, as a Software Engineer from August 2021 to June 2022.

Jewel also gained valuable experience at The Service Center, Ltd., where they held the position of Full-Stack Web Developer from September 2015 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for building custom websites and web applications for clients. Jewel collaborated directly with clients to ensure the best business solutions were delivered. Jewel also trained their coworkers, reviewed their code, and tested applications.

Additionally, Jewel worked as a Junior Web Developer at The Service Center, Ltd. from April 2014 to September 2015. During this time, they redesigned and restructured company websites and implemented a digital portfolio to enhance the company's online presence. Jewel also automated weekly reports by developing a VB script, significantly reducing the time required for report generation.

Prior to their time at The Service Center, Ltd., Jewel held the position of Database Administrator and Web Developer at Internet LAVA, LLC from October 2012 to April 2014. In this role, they independently developed responsive corporate websites based on provided designs.

Jewel's career began with an internship as a Web Developer at Chikka Asia, Inc. from April 2011 to May 2011. During this internship, they contributed to the development of a web administrative tool for monitoring a social network site, aiding in program debugging.

Jewel Tungpalan completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman from the year 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended the University of the Philippines Integrated School from 2004 to 2008 for their high school education. Additionally, Jewel Tungpalan has obtained additional certifications, including the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services in February 2023, the Learn JavaScript Course certification from Codecademy in June 2021, and the Learn SQL Course certification from Codecademy in October 2015.
