Software Engineering Manager at Tebra

Nelson Araya has extensive work experience in project management, software engineering, and development. Nelson currently holds the position of Software Engineering Manager at Tebra since June 2022. Prior to that, they were an Engineering Manager at Kareo starting from June 2019.

From January 2019 to June 2020, Nelson worked as a Project Manager at Avantica, where they led project planning and implementation, managed project budget, and allocated project resources.

Nelson Araya, PMP® MAP CSM®, has an educational background with a Master's degree in Project Management from Universidad de la Cooperación Internacional (UCI) obtained in the years 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica from 2002 to 2005. Nelson attended Colegio Los Angeles for their high school education from 1997 to 2001.

In addition to their academic achievements, Nelson has obtained various certifications. Nelson received the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in January 2019. Nelson also holds certifications as a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) and a Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC) from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile, both obtained in July 2016. Nelson has been recognized as a "Profesor destacado" by Universidad Cenfotec in two different semesters, C3-2022 and C1-2023.

Furthermore, Nelson has completed online courses, including "AngularJS Forms Using Bootstrap and MVC 5" and "Building a Web App with ASP.NET 5, MVC 6, EF7, and AngularJS" through Pluralsight. The specific month and year of completion for these courses are not provided.
