Shafic Oueini

Shafic Oueini, Ph.D., is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Mechanical Engineering at Tecan since May 2022, Shafic leads a team of nine, focusing on skills development, training initiatives, and process improvement. Previously, Shafic held key roles at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, contributing to the design of next-generation acoustic liquid-dispensing instruments, and at Labcyte Inc., which was subsequently acquired by Beckman Coulter. In earlier positions, Shafic managed cross-functional teams at Paramit, developed various mechanical systems at Complete Genomics, and held multiple engineering roles at KLA. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from Virginia Tech, an MS in Engineering Management and Leadership with distinction from Santa Clara University, and both MASc and BASc degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
