Sabhanaz Rashid Diya

Sabhanaz Rashid Diya serves as the Executive Director and Founding Board Director at Tech Global Institute, an organization focused on advancing equity for the Global Majority on the open Internet. Currently a member of the Advisory Network for the Freedom Online Coalition and a Visiting Policy Fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute, Sabhanaz also holds the position of Senior Fellow in Global AI Governance at the Centre for International Governance Innovation. Prior experience includes serving as Head of Public Policy at Meta and roles at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where responsibilities encompassed global policy and advocacy. Sabhanaz began a career in cybersecurity and privacy policy at the United States Department of Defense, co-authoring research on related topics. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.Sc. in Economics and Communications from Independent University, Bangladesh, along with additional studies at the University of Pennsylvania, University of Virginia, and INSEAD.
