Guilherme Borga Scherer

Guilherme Borga Scherer has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and petrochemicals. Guilherme started their career at MK Química as a Laboratory Analyst, where they monitored and analyzed wastewater and developed new products for leather tanning. Guilherme then worked at GE Water as an Engineering Intern, where they assisted in SSMA activities and handled procurement and inventory control. Later, Guilherme joined Braskem as a Petrochemical Operator, responsible for monitoring and controlling process parameters in the control room and field. Most recently, they joined Technip Energies as a Boardman and CRO, where they played a key role in the pre-commissioning and commissioning of a naphtha cracking unit in Vietnam and operated the control room for various production processes.

Guilherme Borga Scherer has a diverse education history. Guilherme completed their Graduação em Engenharia Mecânica from IFSUL - Instituto Federal Sul-rio-grandense from 2016 to 2020. Simultaneously, from 2016 to 2017, they pursued an MBE (Master of Business Engineering) in Engenharia de Produção e Serviços from ULBRA. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Tecnólogo em Gestão Financeira from ULBRA from 2014 to 2016. Guilherme'searliest educational achievement was a Técnico em Química from Fundação Liberato Salzano Vieira da Cunha, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, Scherer has obtained several certifications including DMAIC Engenharia from Braskem in 2022, Curso de Treinamento para Operadores Petroquímicos from SENAI/RS in 2013, and Tecnologia de Elastômeros from Instituto SENAI de Inovação em Engenharia de Polímeros in 2010.
