Diego Cibils

Diego Cibils has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Diego is currently the Head of Conversational Banking & AI at Technisys, where they lead a team in building and commercializing Conversational Banking solutions using Artificial Intelligence. In their role, they design go-to-market strategies, oversees clients and vendor products, and manages API integrations and business cases.

Prior to Technisys, Diego co-founded KONA, a company focused on providing AI-powered solutions for the banking industry. As the CEO, they built the company from the ground up with a team of 50+ professionals across multiple countries. Diego also developed the first full-stack Conversational AI platform in Latin America, utilizing a proprietary Natural Language Processing and Empathy engine.

Before KONA, Diego served as the Chief Technology Officer at CPA Innovation, where they assembled and led a team to deliver Innovation technology services to major clients. Diego also designed and deployed a pioneering BPM-based tool for process governance.

Diego's earlier roles include Chief of Technology at KUMBA INTERACTIVE, where they directed technology and creative teams in developing mobile and interactive products for renowned companies. Diego also launched the first Massive Multiplayer Game using advanced technologies.

Additionally, Diego has experience as a Delivery Manager and Project Manager/Software Architect at Replayful, and as a Lead Developer at Operator11.com, TATA Consultancy Services, Dinámica Consultores, and ST Consultores.

Throughout their career, Diego has demonstrated expertise in technology leadership, team management, product development, and project delivery.

Diego Cibils attended IAE Business School from 2018 to 2019, where they studied Business Administration and Management. Prior to that, they attended Universidad Católica del Uruguay 'Dámaso Antonio Larranaga' from 2003 to 2009, majoring in Computer Science. Additionally, they hold several certifications including Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Alliance in 2013, Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge in 2009, Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD) from Oracle in 2006, and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) from Microsoft in 2004.
