Jacob Coetzer

Senior Resident Engineer at TECHNITAL S.p.A.

Jacob Coetzer has extensive experience in civil engineering and construction, currently serving as a Senior Resident Engineer at TECHNITAL S.p.A. since August 2013, where supervision of construction activities for the Al Faw Grand Port project is a primary responsibility. Previously, Jacob held roles including Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer, contributing to the development of the world's longest two breakwaters, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2020. Prior to TECHNITAL, Jacob worked as Chief Surveyor at NMDC, overseeing offshore surveys, and as Construction Manager at Procon Civil and Building Contractor, managing residential housing projects. Early career includes the role of Assistant Project Engineer at Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, focusing on dredging in Bahrain, and Chief Industrial Technician at the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry, responsible for surface water monitoring. Jacob holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology.
