Paul Kent

SVP, Events at Technology Services Industry Association

Paul Kent is the senior vice president of events for TSIA. In his role he is responsible for the management, growth and development of TSIAs face to face and virtual event programs.

Paul brings over 30 years of conference and trade show experience to his role. He has managed and brought to market some of the most influential events in the technology industry, including events that created the Internet, fostered the Apple industry, introduced the iPhone, brought telephony and video to the internet, and brought mobile technologies to undeveloped corners of the world.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he founded Mactivity, Inc to provide data networking training services and grew the firm into a conference series that was later acquired by IDG Corp. At IDG, he ran and grew the Macworld event series, hosting over 50,000 attendees annually, and was the recipient of the Expo Group’s “Show Manager of the Year” award.

After leaving IDG, he worked in the startup community as Chief Events Officer at Wearable World, Inc, and later developed events for a variety of tech stalwarts including Facebook and Singularity University.
