Viviane Baril

Viviane Baril, P.Eng., currently serves as Acting Senior Engineering Supervisor at Elk Valley Resources since October 2024 and has been a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Teck Resources Limited since July 2019, where responsibilities also included the role of Maintenance Engineer. Prior experience includes positions at LafargeHolcim from January 2010 to February 2019, where Viviane worked as a Mechanical Planner and Mechanical Supervisor, overseeing teams and managing mechanical operations. Earlier, Viviane held the role of Maintenance Coop at Lafarge Cement in early 2009. Viviane Baril is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Fredericton (October 2023 - December 2025) and holds a Professional Management degree from the University of Calgary (2011-2014) as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke (2005-2009) and a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Cégep de Sherbrooke (2002-2005).
