IVC Business Manager at Tecniplast

Morgan Holmes has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Currently, Morgan works at Tecniplast as the IVC Business Manager. In this role, Morgan is responsible for providing strategic insight, planning and execution to build and grow the Individually Ventilated Caging (IVC) and Laminar Flow Equipment possibilities within the company. Morgan also conducts detailed training and support internally and externally in laboratory animal housing equipment.

Prior to Tecniplast, Morgan worked at Lighthouse Life Sciences as an SE Advisor from 2020 to 2021. In this role, Morgan provided advisory services to clients in the life sciences industry.

From 2018 to 2021, Morgan held various leadership positions at AALAS (American Association for Laboratory Animal Science), including Past Chair, Chair, and Incoming Vice Chair of the Certification and Registry Board (CRB). In these roles, Morgan was responsible for overseeing certification and registry processes for laboratory animal science professionals.

Before joining AALAS, Morgan served as the SE Sales Director at Envigo from 2018 to 2020, where they were responsible for sales operations and business development in the life sciences industry.

From 2007 to 2017, Morgan worked at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in multiple roles, including Manager of Comparative Medicine, Comparative Medicine Supervisor, Lead Laboratory Animal Care Technician, Sr. Laboratory Animal Care Technician, and Assistant Laboratory Animal Care Technician. In these positions, Morgan managed and supervised laboratory animal care operations.

Additionally, Morgan served as the President of the Institute of Laboratory Management (ILAM) at AALAS from 2013 to 2014.

Earlier in their career, Morgan worked as a Zookeeper at Santa Fe College from 2006 to 2007 and volunteered at AmeriCorps from 2004 to 2006. These experiences highlight Morgan's commitment to animal care and public service.

Morgan Holmes obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from Santa Fe College from 2006 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained RLATG from AALAS in December 2011. Prior to that, in June 2009, they obtained RALAT certification. In August 2008, they obtained RLAT certification. Furthermore, they obtained ILAM certification in Elements of Laboratory Animal Management I and II from AALAS in May 2014. In March 2014, they obtained the certification IACUC 101: The Basics from PRIM&R. In February 2014, they obtained the Regulated Medical Waste Shipping and Security Awareness certification from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center - EHSO. Lastly, in January 2014, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma White Belt certification from the University of Oklahoma Lean Institute.
