Helen Kemp

Helen Kemp is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Planning for both Middlesbrough Development Corporation and Hartlepool Development Corporation since September and August 2023, respectively. Helen also holds the position of Business Solutions Director and Group Director of Business and Skills at Tees Valley Combined Authority, where involvement spans back to February 2022. Additional roles include Non Executive Director at NEPIC and The Northern Studios, as well as previous positions as Director of Business and Skills at South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and Director of Economy and Planning at Hambleton District Council. Helen's earlier experience includes managerial roles at Durham County Council and Derwentside District Council, with an academic background comprising an MSc in Psychology from Wrexham University, an Advanced Certificate in Marketing from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, and a BEng (Hons) in Computer Engineering from Teesside University.
