Axel Nurmio

Axel Nurmio is a communications consultant at Tekir since September 2022, previously serving as a communications specialist. Prior experience includes roles as a news reporter and journalist at Yle from June 2021 to September 2022, where coverage focused on domestic news in Swedish across TV, audio, and online platforms. Axel worked as an investigative reporter at Yle from June 2016 to August 2020 and held various journalistic positions at Yle in 2015. Freelance proofreading and translating from Finnish to Swedish for Pohjola-Norden were also part of Axel's career. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Investigative Reporting from the University of Gothenburg and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Svenska social- och kommunalhögskolan vid Helsingfors universitet. Additional academic experience includes studying as an exchange student at Södertörn University and completing a matriculation exam at Kimitoöns gymnasium.
