Gabriel Neil

Gabriel Neil has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning engineering. Gabriel currently holds the position of Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Teknoir since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Konfído as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer from November 2021 to July 2023, where they played a key role in designing and integrating components for MLOps framework, driving ML development roadmaps, and taking ownership of the AI technology roadmap. Gabriel also worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Konfído from August 2021 to November 2021, collaborating with various teams to ensure the success of ML solutions.

Before joining Konfído, Gabriel worked at Mercado Libre as a Machine Learning Engineer from September 2019 to August 2021. There, they designed, developed, and deployed machine learning models for fraud prevention and conducted statistical analysis on complex data sets to drive business solutions. Gabriel also worked as a Software Engineer at Mercado Libre from August 2016 to September 2019, where they designed and deployed core systems for lending, collection, and payment businesses, as well as integrated lending engines with third parties and designed analytics tracking flows.

Throughout their career, Gabriel has demonstrated a strong focus on developing advanced machine learning solutions and integrating them into various business contexts.

Gabriel Neil completed their education at the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional from 2012 to 2018, where they obtained an Engineer's degree in Information Systems Engineering. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2012, they attended Dr. René Favaloro and earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts.

In addition to their academic degrees, Gabriel has obtained several certifications. In May 2023, they achieved the IELTS General Training - C1 Level certification from IELTS Official. In April 2023, they completed the Computer Vision Fundamentals with Google Cloud, Natural Language Processing on Google Cloud, and Production Machine Learning Systems certifications from Google Career Certificates. Furthermore, in March 2023, they received certification in Introduction to Corporate Finance and Introduction to Operations Management from Wharton Online. In February 2023, they completed the Introduction to Financial Accounting and Managing Social and Human Capital certifications from Wharton Online. Prior to that, in September 2022, they obtained the Introduction to Marketing certification from Wharton Online.

Moreover, Gabriel has acquired technical certifications, including Containerized Applications on AWS and Machine Learning Essentials for Business and Technical Decision Makers, both from Amazon Web Services (AWS), in April 2022. Additionally, they received the Terraform certification from OpenWebinars in January 2022, and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2022.
