Gordon Tommy

Gordon Tommy has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Gordon is currently the Director of Quality Operations at Teknova from March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Abbott as the Head of Materials Control from May 2019 to March 2022. Before Abbott, they held the role of Sr. Manager, Product Development & Lifecycle Management at Baxter Healthcare Corporation from January 2016 to May 2019. Gordon also worked at Baxter Healthcare in various roles, including Sr. Manager, Risk Management from January 2013 to January 2016, Quality Manager CMC from June 2009 to 2013, and Chemistry Supervisor from October 2005 to June 2009. Gordon began their career at Abbott Laboratories as a Quality Professional from 2000 to 2005 and worked as a Chemist at Rhodia from 1998 to 2000.

Gordon Tommy holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Analytical Chemistry from Governors State University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they achieved a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Olivet Nazarene University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Gordon has also obtained additional certifications including Enterprise CM2-C from the University of Tennessee in August 2018, Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) from ASQ - World Headquarters in October 2011, and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ - World Headquarters in June 2010. Gordon also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from Baxter Business Excellence, but the dates of obtaining this certification are not provided.
