Shai Dekel

Shai Dekel is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and mathematical data science. Currently serving as a Visiting Associate Professor at Tel-Aviv University since August 2000, Dekel also holds the position of Head of Artificial Intelligence at Genor AI and has been an Angel Investor at TLVSeed since January 2014. Previously, Dekel was the VP of Artificial Intelligence at Similarweb from February 2022 to July 2023 and Head of Artificial Intelligence at Wix.com from November 2016 to March 2020. Dekel's earlier roles include Principal Scientist at GE Global Research, Chief Scientist at GE Healthcare, and Chief Scientist at IDX. Additionally, Dekel co-founded RealTimeImage and led the algorithm team at Scanvec. Dekel earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Tel Aviv University.
