Alexandra Van has a diverse work experience history. Alexandra started their career as a Shift Lead at PSU Food Pantry in 2016, where they provided services and support for food-insecure college students and supervised volunteers. In 2017, they worked as a Case Manager for Kenton Women's Village at Catholic Charities of Oregon, providing case management, community support, and advocacy for houseless individuals with various challenges. In 2018, they served as a Living Cully Anti-Displacement Program Case Manager at Hacienda CDC, where they provided case management, community support, and facilitated community groups focused on housing and community security. Alexandra also worked at Portland State University from 2018 to 2022 as a Disability Resource Center Access Services Coordinator, overseeing the coordination and provision of services for students with disabilities. Currently, they are employed at Telecare Corporation as a Clinical Team Lead, responsible for implementing and overseeing clinical services and standards of care at a secure crisis residential treatment facility.

Alexandra Van began their education at Portland State University in 2015, where they pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. Alexandra'sfocus was on Practice and Leadership with Communities and Organizations, and they successfully completed their degree in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Alexandra also obtained two certifications. In 2020, they became a Video Accessibility Expert through training at 3Play Media. In 2022, they obtained a Domestic Violence Advocacy Certificate from the YWCA of Greater Portland.
