Jonathan Blumhofer is a multifaceted music professional with extensive experience in music criticism, education, composition, and musicology. Since December 2017, Jonathan has served as a Music Critic for Boston Classical Review and has been involved with Worcester Chamber Music Society since September 2012, contributing program notes and audio previews for concerts. As an Adjunct Faculty at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Jonathan teaches music fundamentals and MIDI topics. Additionally, Jonathan has provided critical reviews for classical music performances in the greater Worcester and Boston areas through various publications, including Worcester Telegram & Gazette and Arts Fuse. An accomplished composer and violist, Jonathan's research focuses on notable composers such as Leonard Bernstein and John Adams, as well as Protestant hymnody. Jonathan holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Composition from Boston University and two additional degrees in Music Composition and Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Wheaton College, respectively.
