Jiyu Yu

Jiyu Yu has over 20 years of experience in quality engineering and software management roles. Jiyu currently serves as the Senior Director of Quality Engineering at Telenav since 2017. Prior to that, they worked at GoPro as the Director of Firmware Quality Engineering starting in 2015. From 2008 to 2015, Jiyu served as the Director of QA for Android Products at Motorola, where they oversaw compliance with technical specifications and quality standards for Android platform products. Their responsibilities included managing a team of 80 technical personnel engaged in testing and project management. Before Motorola, Jiyu worked at Juniper Networks as a Software Engineering Manager, where they managed a team of 14 quality engineers and ensured adherence to corporate quality guidelines. Jiyu also worked at Motorola as a Software Engineering Manager, where they supervised the development of the Technology Compatibility Kit (TCK) and created a test framework for mobile platforms and applications. Additionally, Jiyu has experience as a Senior Quality Engineer at Openwave, where they produced automation tools for mobile web testing and managed teams of testers across multiple geographies. Jiyu also worked as a QA Manager at Openwave, where they deployed a comprehensive QA process. At the start of their career, Jiyu worked as a Sr. Quality Engineer at Hyperion.

Jiyu Yu has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Additionally, Jiyu Yu has pursued further education and is currently enrolled in the University of Nevada, Reno, working towards a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science.
