Niina Kaarilahti-Vahtera

Niina Kaarilahti-Vahtera has over 15 years of experience in various HR roles. Niina currently works as an HR Manager at Teleste since May 2019. Previously, they worked at PerkinElmer, Inc. for almost 7 years, starting as an HR Business Partner in October 2012 and ending in April 2019. At PerkinElmer, they were responsible for being a strategic and operative HR partner for Turku Site based organizations and also managed HR projects and acted as an HR subject matter expert in audits.

Before PerkinElmer, Inc., Niina worked at Nokia for 8 years. From January 2011 to September 2012, they worked as an HR Consultant, supporting managers and employees on various HR matters and contributing to the development of HR services globally. Prior to that, they worked as an HR Project Manager at Nokia from May 2004 to December 2010.

Niina's early work experience includes teaching at the University of Jyväskylä from September 2003 to May 2004 and working as a research assistant from October 2001 to August 2003.

Niina Kaarilahti-Vahtera obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Business from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu in 2000. In the same year, they also participated as a foreign exchange student at HEC Montréal, where they focused on Leadership and Management. Niina then pursued a Master's Degree at the University of Jyväskylä from 2000 to 2003, specializing in Information Systems Science, Leadership and Management, as well as Accounting and Finance.

In 2017, Niina earned a Diploma in Coaching (työnohjaus) from the Turku University of Applied Sciences, where they became a Solution-focused Business Coach. Moreover, they acquired a Solution-focused Coach certification from Suomen työnohjaajat ry STOry in the same year.

Currently, Niina is an MBA student at the Turku University of Applied Sciences, focusing on Service Design. Their studies are expected to continue until 2024.
