Claudia Ong

Claudia Ong has a diverse work experience in various healthcare and academic organizations. Claudia started their career as an Intern at the Institute of Mental Health in 2016. Claudia then worked as a Research Assistant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital from 2017 to 2018. Claudia later served as a Psychologist Associate at Thye Hua Kwan Moral Charities from 2019 to 2020. Claudia then joined The University of Western Australia as a Tutor / Lab Demonstrator from 2020 to 2021. In 2022, they worked as a Clinical Psychologist Trainee at Child and Adolescent Health Service from February to June and at South Metropolitan Health Service from July to December. In 2022, Claudia became a Senior Project Officer at Telethon Kids Institute. Presently, they are working as a Clinical Psychologist Registrar at South Metropolitan Health Service from May 2023 and a Research Officer at The University of Western Australia from February to April 2023.

Claudia Ong started their education journey in 2010 when they attended Ngee Ann Polytechnic, where they pursued a Diploma in Child Psychology and Early Education and focused on the field of psychology. Claudia completed their diploma in 2013.

In 2013, Claudia Ong enrolled at the National University of Singapore, where they pursued a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honors) in Psychology. Claudia also pursued a minor in Human Services during their time at the university. Claudia completed their bachelor's degree in 2017.

During their undergraduate studies, Claudia Ong had the opportunity to study abroad and attended The University of Auckland in 2015. Claudia earned a Certificate of Proficiency for Exchange during their time there.

After completing their bachelor's degree, Claudia Ong decided to further their education and pursue a higher degree. In 2020, they enrolled at The University of Western Australia, where they are currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Clinical Psychology. The field of study for their current degree is not specified.

In addition to their academic achievements, Claudia Ong obtained the certification of Registered Psychologist in January 2023. This certification was granted by AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
