Tudor Groza, FAIDH, has a diverse and extensive work experience in various research and leadership roles. Starting in 2015, they served as a Senior Lecturer at UNSW until 2018. In 2019, they were a Visiting Associate Professor at Keio University, and also held the position of Honorary Research Associate at Telethon Kids Institute from 2019 to 2022. In 2018, Tudor co-founded Pryzm Health and held the role of Co-Founder until 2022. From 2021 to 2023, they served as a Member of IRDiRC - Primary Care Task Force and IRDiRC - Integrating New Technologies for the Diagnosis of Rare Diseases Task Force. Tudor was also the Phenomics Team Lead at the European Bioinformatics Institute from 2021 to 2023. In 2023, Tudor assumed the role of Visiting Scientist at SingHealth Duke-NUS Institute of Precision Medicine and Honorary Research Fellow at Telethon Kids Institute. Previously, they were the Data and Technical Coordinator at Rare Care Centre, Perth Children's Hospital from 2023 onwards.
Tudor Groza, FAIDH, pursued their education in the field of Computer Science with a focus on research and engineering. Their educational journey began at the Technical University of Cluj Napoca, where they obtained a Dipl. Eng. degree from 1999 to 2004. Following this, they attended the same university from 2004 to 2005 and completed a MSc. degree in Computer Science.
Seeking further knowledge and expertise, Tudor Groza enrolled in the University of Galway from 2005 to 2010, where they successfully earned a PhD in Computer Science. This educational milestone demonstrated their dedication and commitment to advancing their understanding of the field.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Tudor Groza has acquired several professional certifications. Tudor obtained the Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance in September 2016, enhancing their skills in agile methodologies and project management. Later, in October 2018, they completed two specializations, namely Architecting with Google Cloud Platform and Data Engineering on Google Cloud Platform, from Coursera. These specializations provided him with a comprehensive understanding of cloud architecture and data engineering on the Google Cloud Platform.
Recently, in June 2023, Tudor Groza achieved the prestigious title of AIDH Fellow (FAIDH) from the Australasian Institute of Digital Health (AIDH). This recognition highlights their leadership and significant contributions to the field of digital health.
