Telethon Kids Institute
Jane Pillow has extensive work experience in research and academia. Jane is currently an Honorary Research Fellow at Telethon Kids Institute, a position they have held since April 2019. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at The University of Western Australia, including Senior Principal Research Fellow and Professor. Jane also served as the Associate Dean (Research) for the Faculty of Science from March 2020 to November 2021. Earlier in their career, Jane worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Child Health Research in Perth from July 2001 to February 2006, where they focused on lung function studies in preterm infants. Jane also held a similar role at the Institute of Child Health in London from July 2001 to February 2004. Overall, Jane Pillow has a strong background in research and has made significant contributions to the field of child health.
Jane Pillow completed their education in the following chronological order:
1. From 1975 to 1979, they attended Brisbane Girls' Grammar School.
2. From 1981 to 1987, they studied at The University of Queensland and obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree.
3. In 1985, while pursuing their MBBS degree, they also earned a BMedSci in Paediatrics from The University of Queensland.
4. From 1989 to 1996, they attended the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and achieved a FRACP in Paediatrics.
5. Jane pursued specialized training in Neonatology from 1992 to 1997 at the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, earning a Neonatal Subspecialist degree.
6. Lastly, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Paediatrics from The University of Western Australia from 1997 to 2000.
