Jonah MacLiver

Laboratory Research Assistant at Telethon Kids Institute

Jonah Macliver's work experience includes serving as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the Telethon Kids Institute since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Laboratory Technician Level 2 at Linear Clinical Research Ltd from February 2022 to October 2022, and as a Laboratory Technician Level 1 from October 2020 to February 2022. Jonah also worked as an Intern Pharmacist at Wizard Pharmacy from March 2021 to December 2021. Additionally, Jonah served as a Reserve Surveillance Officer at the Department of Health (WA Health) from October 2020 to June 2021. Jonah gained experience as an Intern Pharmacist at McCourt Street Pharmacy from May 2019 to November 2019. Early in their career, Jonah held various student roles, including at St John of God Health Care, King Edward Memorial Hospital, North Metropolitan Health Service, Mental Health, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and Wembley Pharmacy.

Jonah Macliver pursued their education in the field of pharmacy. In 2017, they attended The University of Western Australia, where they obtained a Master's degree in Pharmacy. Jonah completed this program in 2018. Following their master's degree, Jonah enrolled in the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia and earned a Graduate Certificate in Applied Pharmacy Practice. Jonah finished this certificate program in 2021.

Before their master's degree, Jonah studied at The University of Western Australia from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science with a specialization in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Apart from their formal education, Jonah also acquired several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2019, they obtained the certification of Registered Pharmacist from AHPRA (Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). In 2018, they completed the Mental Health First Aid training provided by Mental Health First Aid Australia. In 2020, Jonah obtained the ICH Good Clinical Practice E6 (R2) certification from The Global Health Network. Additionally, they hold certifications in Provide First Aid from Royal Life Saving - Western Australia (obtained in 2021), Dangerous Goods by Air from AIRSAFE Transport Training (obtained in 2022), and Teamwork Foundations from LinkedIn (obtained in 2023).
