Aida Perez, PhD has an extensive work experience in various high-level security roles. Aida currently serves as the Senior Vice President & Chief Global Security Officer at TelevisaUnivision, Inc., a leading Spanish-language media and content company. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President & Chief Global Security Officer at Univision Communications Inc.

Before their time in the media industry, Dr. Perez worked in the public sector, holding positions at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), where they served as the Assistant Director of Security and Emergency Preparedness, and Director of Intelligence and Security Programs, respectively.

Earlier in their career, they also held important roles at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Secretary, where they served as the Deputy Assistant Security for Security & Secretary's Senior Intelligence Official, Director of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, Director of Human Resources, and Director of the Office of Programs.

Dr. Perez began their career in law enforcement and intelligence at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Aida held positions such as Director of the Southeast Field Intelligence Unit (SEFIU) and Assistant Director of Intelligence.

Aida completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International Relations with a focus on International Security, Conflict, and Diplomacy at the University of Miami in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in International Relations with a specialization in International Security and Conflict from the same university in 1997. Aida also holds a Bachelor's Degree from Loyola Marymount University, where they majored in Political Science and English Literature, with minors in Spanish and French, earning their degree in 1982.

In addition to their academic achievements, Aida has pursued further professional development through various certifications. Aida obtained the OPM Suitability Adjudications certification from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in 2014.
