Juan Pablo Newman

Juan Pablo Newman is the current VP, TelevisaUnivision Mexico Growth Officer at TelevisaUnivision. Prior to this, they were the Vicepresidente de Finanzas at Televisa from January 2019 to December 2019 where they were responsible for redefining the advertising segment's business plan by proposing new mechanisms to commercialize inventory with the goal of maximizing its value.

From January 2019 to December 2021, they were the Director General (CEO) at Afore XXI Banorte, Mexico's largest retirement fund administrator. Under their leadership, the company went from seventh to second place in the 12-month performance indicator and registered the highest profitability in recent history. The prestigious firm Morningstar upgraded its rating from neutral to bronze.

In addition, they have promoted the implementation of best market practices such as CFA certification and the adoption of the UN Principles for Responsible Investments. Since joining the company, they have implemented a deep digital transformation through the simplification of procedures and the improvement of our customers' experience.

Juan Pablo Newman has a Master of Science in Operational Research from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as well as a Licenciatura in Matemáticas Aplicadas from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
