Mainland China Lead at Telum Media

Rachel Chen's work experience begins in 2014 when they interned as a Journalist at One TV Media Global Limited. In 2014, they also worked as an Executive Assistant at PRChina, where they wrote press releases, collected and analyzed market data, and maintained media relations. From 2015 to 2016, Rachel worked at People's Daily Online as a Reporter, Anchor, and Producer, where they conducted exclusive interviews and managed content on social media. In 2016, they became an Assignment Editor and Anchor at People's Daily Online, where they strategized monthly news agendas, assisted with planning video programs and marketing campaigns, and managed long-term relations with industry professionals. In 2017, Rachel worked as a Freelance Writer, writing commentaries on China and HKSAR's policies and had op-ed pieces published in various publications. From 2017 to 2019, they held the position of Senior Executive and Team Leader at Telum Media. Currently, Rachel is working at Telum Media as the China Manager. In this role, they are responsible for leading the country team, strategizing business development, building the company's brand, managing relations with media corporations, and leading recruitment and team/business growth. Rachel also collaborates with cross-functional teams for product projects and marketing campaigns.

Rachel Chen has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Journalism from Hong Kong Baptist University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Chinese Language and Literature at Qingdao University from 2009 to 2013. In addition, Rachel has obtained certifications from the Beijing Dance Academy, including Level 13 in Chinese Dance and Level 4 in Ballet.
