Head of HR at Temporal Technologies

Geri Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Geri began their career as a Catering Assistant at the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, where they worked part-time from 2008 to 2013.

In 2013, Geri interned at Moy Park, where they managed full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for the 2013 graduate intake. Geri also attended graduate career fairs.

Geri then joined Arthur Cox in 2014 as an HR Administrator, where they handled HRIS administration, coordinated interviews and onboarding, and managed the firm's work-experience program. Geri also organized employee social events.

From 2015 to 2017, Geri worked at Openet as an HR Generalist, supporting over 300 employees in 7 countries. Geri managed all HR functions and led recruitment events and onboarding for the company's graduate intake. Geri also collaborated with the global HR team to assess organization culture and roll out a culture code.

Taking a career break in 2017, Geri returned to work in 2018 at Sidecar. Geri first served as a Talent Acquisition Consultant before becoming an Associate Director, Talent Engagement. In the latter role, they aligned business operations and strategy with people operations, oversaw HR activities, and partnered with talent acquisition and operations teams.

In 2021, Geri joined Cart.com as a Senior People Business Partner and later took on the role of People Strategy Lead. Geri joined as the 43rd hire and witnessed the company's growth to 1400+ employees and a Series B2 raise.

In 2021, Geri also became a founding member of TroopHR, a national HR network aimed at empowering people professionals.

Most recently, in 2022, Geri joined Temporal Technologies as the Head of HR. In this role, they are responsible for building and scaling up the people operations and strategy infrastructure at a fully-distributed Series B startup.

Geri Murphy completed their education from different institutions. Geri started their education in 2002 and completed their high school education at Sacred Heart Grammar School Newry. In 2009, they enrolled at University College Dublin for a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in Business/Commerce. Geri completed this program in the same year.

Geri went on to pursue further education at Technological University Dublin from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Human Resources Management.

In addition to their formal education, Geri also obtained several certifications. In 2014, they became an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Geri continued their professional development by obtaining a Certificate in Irish Employment Law (Level 6) from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 2016. Geri also completed the IBEC Foundations in People Management course offered by Ibec in 2017. In 2018, they obtained Namely Product Training certifications in HRIS, Payroll, Benefits & Performance Management. Lastly, in 2019, they received training in Payscale Insight Lab from PayScale, Inc.
