Brent Pfister has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Brent started their career as a Project Architect at CORE architecture + design, where they specialized in designing award-winning modern buildings with a focus on sustainable design.
Brent then transitioned to the marketing field and joined Black & Decker in 2007, where they rapidly progressed through various roles, including Product and Channel Marketing. At Black & Decker, Brent led multiple product categories, achieving consistent P&L growth and expanding the product pipeline. Brent also coordinated global product development efforts with teams from Asia, Europe, and the US.
In 2011, Brent joined Tempur Sealy International as the Director of Marketing for the Stearns & Foster brand. Brent successfully established a new sales record with 30% growth in the first full year, driven by improvements in product architecture, pricing, and portfolio mix. Brent then took on the role of Vice President of Marketing for the Sealy Posturepedic brand, leading a turnaround that resulted in $250MM+ in sales growth and the creation of an award-winning "Hybrid" collection.
Brent's contributions led to a promotion in 2014 to Vice President of Marketing for Tempur-Pedic, where they managed a $1B+ P&L as a category leader. Brent was responsible for brand strategy, growth, P&L management, and product and innovation management in the US.
In 2019, Brent was promoted again to the role of Vice President of US Brand Management, Tempur Sealy Brands. In this position, they led the entire TSI brand management team and had overall responsibility for the $3B+ US P&L and brand portfolio, including Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, and Stearns & Foster.
Most recently, in 2022, Brent became the Senior Vice President of Brand Management and Product Development at Tempur Sealy International. In this role, they lead a team of 75+ in the US, overseeing brand management and product development functions.
Brent Pfister earned their Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2002. Later, they pursued an MBA in Marketing & Strategy from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, completing it in 2007.
