Alicia Kirkland

Alicia Kirkland has worked as a DevOps Engineer at Tempus Ex, where they upgraded Redis, created CLI tools for managing Git tags, and deployed Nexus. Alicia also built a company status page. Alicia founded Kirkland Tech Consulting in 2019. Alicia was an Operations Engineer II at Bright.md and automated weekly deploys using Terraform, built out development account networking, and modernized Terraform usage. Alicia was a DevOps Engineer at moovel Group, and a Site Reliability Engineer and Software Engineer Intern at Zapproved, where they were an AWS administrator responsible for maintaining system infrastructure, implemented and maintained logging streams and security controls, and reviewed security risks with development teams.

Alicia Kirkland first attended Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained their high school degree. Alicia then attended Lewis & Clark College from 2012 to 2016, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Alicia obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services. Alicia obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in July 2017, and the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate in December 2019.
