Martin Iliev (M.Sc., ISTQB CTAL-TM)

Martin Iliev has a strong background in quality assurance and testing. Martin started their career as a Web Developer Intern at ICT media in 2008. In 2011, they interned at Logica, where they worked on their Master's Thesis, developing a method for automated prediction of defect severity.

From 2012 to 2016, Martin worked at Comptel as a Test Engineer and later as a Senior Test Engineer/Test Lead. Martin was responsible for planning, designing, and executing tests at various test levels, as well as developing and maintaining a Test Automation Framework.

In 2017, Martin became the Manager of a Testing Team at Comptel, which later became part of Nokia in 2018. Martin continued in the role of Manager - Testing Team, overseeing testing activities in all projects.

From 2018 to 2019, Martin joined Experian as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer/QA Lead. Martin worked on all aspects of the QA process, including reviewing requirements, creating test plans, executing test cases, and providing guidance and support to the QA team.

From 2019 to 2020, Martin continued at Experian as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, focusing on the same responsibilities.

In 2020, Martin joined FFW as a Quality Assurance Lead. In this role, they led a team of 6 QA engineers, managed their competence development, and was involved in their performance evaluation. Martin also participated in the recruitment process and onboarding of new team members.

Currently, Martin is working at Tempus Ex as a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, starting in 2022.

Martin Iliev has a strong educational background in computer science and mathematics. Martin earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the American University in Bulgaria, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science at Leiden University from 2010 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Martin has obtained a couple of certifications related to software testing. In 2014, they became ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level, demonstrating their proficiency in software testing. Most recently, in 2021, they earned the prestigious ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Manager certification from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. These certifications further showcase Martin's expertise in the field of software testing.
