Funmi Olopade

Funmi Olopade is a Scientific Adviser at Tempus Labs. Funmi has a background in strategy consulting in the life sciences industry, technology commercialization, and research.

Olopade started their career as an Engineering & Technology Fellow at Merck. Funmi then became a Research Scientist and Lab Manager at QB3 before moving to Harvard University Office of Technology Development as a Technology Commercialization Fellow. In 2016, they joined L.E.K. Consulting as a Senior Consultant (Project Leader).

In January 2019, Olopade left L.E.K. Consulting to join the Obama Foundation as Strategy & Operations Lead. Funmi was with the Obama Foundation until December 2019 when they joined Tempus Labs as a Scientific Adviser.

Funmi Olopade attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. Funmi then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in biomedical engineering from Harvard University.
