Jerod Parsons is an accomplished bioinformatics professional with extensive experience in the health-tech and scientific research sectors. Currently serving as Director of Bioinformatics at Tempus Labs, Inc. since September 2016, Jerod has contributed to the advancement of personalized cancer care through data-driven decision-making processes. Previous roles include Scientist at NIST JIMB, where Jerod developed statistical models and metrics for RNA-sequencing metrology, and NRC Postdoc at NIST, focusing on RNA-sequencing measurement variability. Earlier experience encompasses research at Bio-Next and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UC San Diego. Additionally, Jerod's academic background includes a B.S. in Genetics from Texas A&M University.
