As a physicist turned software engineer, Mason is bringing his experience analyzing quantum systems to bear on the problems of therapeutic design. His previous project experience includes using finite element methods and optimization techniques to search for sterile neutrinos. Additionally, Mason is interested in machine learning and has experimented with using neural networks to search for new planets by analyzing light curves. Fun Fact: Mason first taught himself to code on a TI-84 graphing calculator.
