Jeff Nuss is the current Director of Software Engineering for Mobile Platforms at Tendo. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Software Engineering for Native Apps at Pluralsight from December 2017 to October 2021. In this role, they led three engineering teams responsible for developing Pluralsight's iOS, macOS, tvOS, Android, and Windows Desktop native apps and their associated APIs.
Jeff began their career as a Senior Developer at Verisage in April 2012, where they worked for four years before moving on to VidAngel in June 2016. At VidAngel, they served as a Senior Software Engineer for just over a year, during which time they developed VidAngel's backend web services (API) used by 500,000 users across seven client platforms. Jeff also increased unit test coverage across the API codebase, contributed features and bug fixes to both the iOS and Android mobile clients, and spearheaded an effort to improve the agile processes of the entire tech team. In their role as scrum master, they provided technical leadership and guidance on best practices to both other engineers and the tech team as a whole. In addition, they provided deployment and devops support to VidAngel's backend infrastructure using AWS and SaltStack. Jeff also helped the tech support team with escalated support tickets.
After their time at VidAngel, Jeff went on to Pluralsight where they served as the Director of Software Engineering for Native Apps before taking on their current role as Director of Software Engineering for Mobile Platforms at Tendo.
Jeff Nuss has a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, as well as a B.S. in the same field from the same school. Jeff also has a minor in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. Jeff attended Hammond High School.
Jeff Nuss reports to Dan Ballough, SVP, Engineering. They work with David Vuong - Software Engineer, Darin Vergara - Senior Software Engineer, and Anthony Yip - Software Engineer, Integrations.
