Ashley Nelson

Ashley Nelson is an experienced educator and program manager with a background in teaching, curriculum development, and youth engagement. Currently serving as an Educator at the Tenement Museum since September 2023, Ashley previously taught Social Emotional Learning to newcomer and refugee students for the International Rescue Committee. Ashley's prior roles include Senior Customer Success Analyst at Informed K12 and Impact Manager at City Year, where responsibilities involved managing AmeriCorps volunteers and building partnerships with public schools. Additional experience includes serving as a Youth Engagement Specialist at The Unity Council, an ESL Teacher at Ardmore Language Schools, and a Site Coordinator for Reading Partners. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, with minors in Spanish and Linguistics.
