Perry Martin has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several decades. Their career began in the US Army in 1969, where they served as a Captain until 1976. Following their military service, they joined the FBI and held the position of Supervisory Special Agent for over two decades. Perry later transitioned to the private sector, working as the Director of Corporate Security at Sinclair Oil Corporation and later as the Manager of Business Development at Guardsmark. In 2000, Martin became the President of ICA before joining the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) in 2003 as the Branch Chief until their retirement in 2011. Most recently, they served as the Director of Security at Tenet Healthcare starting in 2012.
Perry Martin earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and Communications from the University Southern Mississippi, where they studied from 1965 to 1969. Perry later pursued a Masters Degree in Public Administration at George Mason University from 1983 to 1985.
