Jonathan Abbas

Jonathan Abbas has a diverse work experience in the field of oncology. Jonathan currently serves as the Director of the Acute Leukemia Program at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown Hospital under Tennessee Oncology since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Physician specializing in Leukemia and Stem Cell Transplant at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center from October 2017 to August 2020, and at HonorHealth from August 2013 to August 2017.

Jonathan has also held various roles during their time at the Medical University of South Carolina from July 2007 to June 2013. Jonathan was a Hematology-Oncology Fellow from July 2010 to June 2013 and an Internal Medicine Resident from July 2007 to June 2010.

In the future, they will be joining The University of Tennessee Health Science Center as an Assistant Professor, starting in October 2023.

Jonathan Abbas completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Davidson College from 1993 to 1997. Jonathan then pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University from 1999 to 2007.
