Amanda Johns

Amanda Johns, MS, SPHR, has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. At the Tennessee Valley Authority, they have held various positions including Vice President of Talent, Director of Talent Planning & Performance, and Director of HR, among others. Their responsibilities included developing and implementing talent management programs, providing guidance to line management, and serving as a subject matter expert in succession planning. Amanda also served as a Board Member at Cempa Community Care. Prior to their time at the Tennessee Valley Authority, they worked at Shaw Industries as a Human Resources Manager, where they were responsible for employee advocacy, performance management, employee investigations, and managing a facility of 300 associates. Amanda also gained experience as a Customer and Employee Relations Manager at Johns' Lumber. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the same institution, graduating between 2002 and 2006. Additionally, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI in 2010.
