Chris Caldes has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Chris started their career at Staples Inc. in 1996, where they held various roles, including Manager of Advertising Systems and Senior Manager Agency Operations. In these positions, they developed and supported web-based tools and applications, managed operations teams, and implemented automated systems to increase efficiency and reduce costs using technologies such as PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

In 2006, Chris transitioned to the role of Senior Application Development Consultant, where they used their expertise in scripting, print production, and open-source solutions to streamline workflows and optimize processes. During this time, they worked on various projects utilizing tools such as Applescript, Unix Shell scripting, and Adobe Indesign CS2.

After leaving Staples, Chris joined CGI Interactive as a Senior Web Application Developer in 2014. There, they collaborated with designers, project managers, and art directors to create complex and responsive web sites and mobile applications using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, and other technologies.

In 2015, Chris moved to Vistaprint as a Creative Innovation Architect. Their responsibilities included conceptualizing, creating, and supporting web-based applications that enabled the creation of content for various purposes. Chris utilized PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL to develop these applications and focused on enhancing production processes through automation and AI. Chris also managed AWS environments and MySQL databases and maintained system backups.

Currently, Chris is a DAM Automation Engineer at Tenovos, starting in 2022.

Chris Caldes earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media/Communications from Worcester State University, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Introduction to Cloudinary CLI" from Cloudinary in August 2020.
