Technology Development Manager - Pavements at Tensar

Tommy James, P.E. started their work experience in 2009 at the National Center for Asphalt Technology as a Lab Technician. Tommy gained experience in performing field and lab work for various research projects related to asphalt mix designs. In 2012, they joined Advanced Materials Services, LLC as a Staff Engineer and later took on the role of Project Engineer in 2017. During their time there, they contributed to engineering projects. In 2022, they joined Tensar, a division of CMC, as the Technology Development Manager - Pavements.

Tommy James, P.E. received their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University in 2012. Tommy continued their education and obtained a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Auburn University in 2016.

In addition to their degrees, Tommy James also completed a 30-hour OSHA Training Course in Construction Safety and Health at Auburn University in December 2014. Furthermore, they obtained the MSHA Part 46 certification from the Mine Safety and Health Administration in June 2013. Although it is not specified, Tommy James also holds a Professional Engineering License for the state of Alabama.
