Ioannis Karageorgos

Ioannis Karageorgos is a Staff ASIC Physical Design Engineer at Tenstorrent since July 2025 and holds dual positions as a Research Affiliate and Research Scientist at Yale University since January 2019, focusing on general-purpose SoC architecture for implantable brain-computer interfaces and the tape-out of low power RISC-V microprocessors. Previous roles include Physical Design, R&D Engineer at Blue Cheetah Analog Design, Inc., and Postdoctoral Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in digital ASIC design and hardware security. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven and postdoctoral studies in Computer Science at both Yale University and Carnegie Mellon University, complemented by a Master's in Microelectronics from the National Technical University of Athens and a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ASPETE University. Ioannis has also contributed to research at imec and Stanford University, focusing on advanced circuit design and technology integration.
