Charles Simmerson

Charles Simmerson, E.I. has a diverse work experience in the field of structural engineering. Charles began their career as a Field Engineering Intern at Skanska in 2020. Following this, they gained valuable experience as a Structural Engineering Intern at Alpine, an ITW Company in 2021 and Advanced Structural Design from 2021 to 2022. Simmerson then worked as a Structural Engineering Intern at TLC Engineering Solutions in 2022. In the same year, they joined MCELROY ENGINEERING LLC as a Structural Project Engineer, where they stayed until early 2023. Currently, Simmerson is working as a Structural Project Engineer at Tepa Companies.

Charles Simmerson, E.I. has a strong educational background in the field of Civil Engineering. Charles obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2022. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's degree in Articulated Engineering from Valencia College in 2019. Charles also holds a High School Diploma from William R Boone High School, which they obtained in 2017.

Continuing their education, Charles is currently pursuing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on the Structural & Geotechnical Engineering track at the University of Central Florida. Charles is expected to complete this degree in 2025.

In addition to their academic achievements, Charles has acquired several certifications. Charles obtained their Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification from the Florida Board of Professional Engineers in September 2022. Furthermore, they have completed several training courses, including "Introduction to Bluebeam Revu 20" and "Revit 2022: Essential Training for Structure (Imperial)" offered by LinkedIn. Charles also successfully passed the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) Exam administered by the NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying) in December 2021.
